The feeling of a real wood floor
Walk in, and the whole house feels finished.
ProFloors & Cabinets has supplied and installed hardwood in Naples since 1998 — wide-plank European white oak, engineered to stay flat on Florida slabs. One project manager carries your floor from the showroom to the last board nailed down.

Real oak, wall to wall.
§ Five woods, up close
Choose the grain you'll live on.
Oak, walnut, hickory, herringbone, or our flagship RIVA oak — each reads differently underfoot and in Naples light. Tap any plank to see the grain up close.

Long, open cathedrals with wire-brushed pores — in afternoon light the grain throws a low shadow and the whole plank reads warm without going orange.

The grains we lay most
Select or character — your call.
Nearly every wood floor we sell is European white oak — so the real question isn't the species, it's the grade. Same oak, same color (this is Amber). The only thing that changes is how much of the tree's natural character you let through.
Select
CharacterAnd both are wire-brushed. Instead of sanding the grain smooth and filling it, the surface is wire-brushed to open the pores — so when you run your hand across, you actually feel the grain. It catches Naples light, and no two boards read the same. The fingerprint of every floor.
§ The finish question
Two finishes. The same oak.A different floor in year five.
Oil versus lacquer — what your floor will actually look like in year five. Tap a finish to feel the difference — oil sinks into the grain and ages with the room; lacquer seals the surface and holds its first-week look. Naples sun and salt push both hard.

Oil sinks into the grain — a softer, matte surface you touch up in place as the room lives with it. It asks for a real commitment: a full re-oil roughly every five years, with the furniture out while it cures. The one to reach for when you want a hand-finished floor and don't mind the ritual.
The short version: oil gives you a living, natural surface — and a real maintenance commitment. To keep an oiled floor right you re-oil it roughly every five years, furniture out of the rooms while it cures; it's the number-one complaint we hear from owners who bought oiled floors elsewhere. Lacquer seals — holds its first-week look longer, no re-oiling, refreshes in one weekend a decade. Naples sun and salt push both hard. Neither is wrong, but know what your year-five Saturday looks like before you pick.
The flagship — one of many lines we carry
RIVA Spain, the oak we put center stage.
We carry a dozen wood lines — LW Flooring, Provenza, Bergamo, Garrison, Stanton and more. Of all of them, RIVA is the one we reach for first: 100% European white oak, wide-plank, on a marine-grade Baltic-birch core — milled in Spain, the Naples exclusive.

And it comes in twelve colors
Twelve Florida tones — pale to near-black, all European white oak.
Every tone was chosen to sit calmly in Florida light. Grade and width, on the right.

~10% of the tree's yield — the cleanest, most contemporary face. Minimal character marks, calm and deliberate.
More knots, more movement — for rooms that want a natural, lived-in story in the grain.
Always long boards. The 10″ wide-plank is exclusive to this line.

Common questions · Hardwood
Honest answers.
The questions we actually get asked — answered straight, the way we would on the showroom floor.
Can you install over our existing tile without tearing it out?
In a lot of Naples condos, yes — if the tile is level and well-bonded we can float an engineered floor over it with a cork-rubber pad. We test three spots before we commit to the approach. If the tile is hollow anywhere, we tear it.
How long does the whole process take, door to door?
From signed scope to broom-clean finish: typically 6–8 weeks on a 1,500–2,500 sq ft project. Two of those weeks are acclimation (no work on-site). The actual installation is 5–9 working days depending on pattern complexity.
Do you handle the furniture move?
We coordinate it. Our preferred movers stage into your garage or a bonded POD on-site. For condos above floor 8 we book the freight elevator on your behalf and work with the building super directly.
What about the dust?
Pre-finished engineered = close to zero sanding dust. Solid floors requiring on-site finish get our negative-pressure containment rig — you can live upstairs while the downstairs is sanded. For whole-house projects we still recommend vacating 3–5 days during finish cure.
Can I refinish later without replacing?
Yes on anything ¾″ solid or engineered with a 4mm+ wear layer. We keep your project specs on file for 25 years — call us in 2040 and we'll know the exact finish and board pattern.
Will the floor match the cabinets if you do both?
That's why we do both. Floor tone, cabinet stain, and the toe-kick line are specified together in the same review — one palette, one crew, one warranty. Our most requested combo is quartered oak floor with rift-cut oak cabinets for a calm, monochrome run.
