Window treatments · Naples, since 1998

Let the light in on your terms.

Shades, blinds, and honeycomb that soften the Gulf sun, darken the bedrooms, and pass the HOA. We bring the samples to your own windows, measure once, and handle the rest — down to programming the remotes.

§ Light, on a dial

One window, three ways.

Every Naples window asks the same question at a different hour: how much sun, how much view, how much privacy. Step the same opening through the three settings that matter — and see which shade lives at each one.

And the room glows.

Floating fabric vanes tilt to lay the afternoon sun flat across the room — the glare goes soft, the water stays in frame. This is the daytime setting for the rooms you show off: diffused light, the view still the feature, privacy you can dial up by the degree.

Most Naples houses don't pick one — they layer: solar screens behind decorative sheers on the west wall, blackout honeycomb in the bedrooms, sheers where the view leads. We pull the real Hunter Douglas samples in your own afternoon light before we spec a thing.

The light is the whole room.

Get the shades right and the room does the rest — the glare softens, the view stays the feature, and the floors stop fading in the afternoon sun. We measure to the daylight you actually live in, then dress every opening to match.

Sheers where the view leads, solar screens on the hot west glass, blackout where you sleep — most Naples homes layer all three. We bring the real samples to your windows before we spec a thing.

One tap to the whole house — and one bench behind it.

PowerView shades aren't a kit you finish on a phone. We field-measure your windows, the factory builds them to order, and our own Naples crew mounts and programs every motor — integrated with the system you already run. No DIY, no third-party installers.

  1. Measure

    Every window, in one visit.

Every window in the house, field-measured in one visit. We photograph the openings, capture the mullion and sill conditions, and walk the room at the hour the sun actually matters. Free inside Collier County — and the people who measure are the people who mount.

  2. Make

    Built to order, bench-tested.

Your shades are built to order — 3–4 weeks on most lines, up to 8 on custom premium fabrics. We confirm the ship date before placement, then open, inspect, and bench-test every order at our Naples shop. Motors get paired to a test hub so we know they're alive before they leave the bench.

  3. Install

    Mounted by our own crew.

Field-mounted by our own crew — no third-party installers. Every shade is cycled to its limits and every motor stop confirmed on-site. We re-verify brackets, wiring runs, and motor placement against the spec before a screw goes in, and we mount clear of your impact glass and storm-shutter clearances so nothing fights at the jamb.

  4. Program

    Programmed before we leave.

Scenes, schedules, and integration set in-house before we leave — sunrise wake, sunset privacy, summer-versus-winter Gulf-heat schedules. We sit with you, set up your phone, and walk you through the app. Battery wands recover your scenes automatically after a storm, so you never reprogram a thing.

The people who measure are the people who mount — one point of contact from the first measurement to the programmed remote.

  • One tap, no glare

A PowerView remote or your phone slides a whole wall of glass from open-and-bright to soft-and-private — the Gulf glare gone, the view still there.

  • Coastal-rated motors

PowerView motors and battery wands within a mile of the Gulf get an annual salt-air lubrication pass, so the rail keeps running smooth in the coastal air.

  • Snowbird & storm-ready

Scheduled open/close cycles keep the house looking lived-in while you're north; battery-wand backup recovers your scenes automatically once power returns.

The details

The details, for when you want them.

How the motors work, how we tame the west sun, and what twenty-eight years in Naples taught us about the HOA and the salt air. Skim what's useful — the showroom is the easy way to get the rest.

HOA & the envelopeNaples high-rises
  • HOA-compliant white exterior backings for every Naples high-rise we work in.
  • Mounted clear of impact glass and storm-shutter clearances — nothing fights at the jamb.
  • Coastal motors get an annual salt-air lubrication pass within a mile of the Gulf.
  • Snowbird open/close schedules so the house looks lived-in while you're north.

Window treatments live inside the building envelope — they don't replace impact glass or shutters, but closed-cell honeycomb adds an insulation layer that helps during outages.

Pirouette and Silhouette are the architectural choice — diffused glow, fabric quality, status. Duette honeycomb is the comfort choice — quieter, cooler, blackout where you want it. Most Naples houses use both: living-room sheers, bedroom honeycomb.

01

Light control for Gulf-facing rooms.

Afternoon west light in Naples is intense. Silhouette or Pirouette diffuse without losing the view; full blackout honeycomb belongs in the primary bedroom. We pull samples in your actual room, at your actual hour, before we spec.

02

Salt-air motor maintenance.

PowerView motors and battery wands within a mile of the Gulf get an annual lubrication pass — keeps the rail running smooth and the contacts clean. Coastal homes get a slightly tighter service interval than inland.

03

HOA exterior color & storm clearances.

Most Naples high-rises require white or off-white exterior backing. We pull the HOA spec sheet before we order, confirm the visible side, and coordinate the mount around your impact glass and shutter tracks.

Measured by us, installed by us

Every shade we hang is measured, bench-tested, and programmed by the same Naples crew — no third-party installers.

Field-measured, factory-built, opened and QA'd at our shop, then mounted and motorized by the people who measured. A workmanship warranty on every install, and a free first-year tuning visit.

§ Common questions · Window Treatments

Honest answers.

  • Are these hurricane-rated?

Window treatments are inside the building envelope — they don't replace impact glass or shutters. But Hunter Douglas products with closed-cell honeycomb add an insulation layer that helps keep conditioned air in during outages. We coordinate around impact-glass mullion and storm-shutter clearances.

  • Will PowerView work with our home automation?

Yes. PowerView integrates with Lutron Caseta and RA2, Crestron, Control4, Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings. We program scenes, schedules, and integrations in-house — not a third-party installer.

  • Our condo HOA dictates exterior shade color — can you handle that?

Yes. Most Naples high-rises require white or off-white exterior backing. We pull the HOA spec sheet before we order and confirm the exterior visible side meets the building's standard. We've worked inside Kalea Bay, Pelican Bay, Bay Colony, and most Park Shore towers.

  • Will the fabric fade in Naples sun?

Hunter Douglas residential fabrics carry a 7-year UV warranty. For west-facing exposures we recommend Designer Screen Shades behind decorative drapery — solar block does the work, fabric stays decorative.

  • Can you match new treatments to ones we already own?

Often, yes — if the existing product line is still active. Bring the model number off the headrail or a photograph of the brand tag. Hunter Douglas keeps most fabric runs available for 10+ years.

  • Do you do drapery on top of shades?

Layered treatments are our most-requested Naples spec — Hunter Douglas honeycomb or Silhouette functional layer, Masland or custom drapery as the architectural layer. Our crew measures, mounts, and steams in one visit.

  • Can you motorize existing shades?

Sometimes — it depends on the bracket system and motor compatibility. Most Hunter Douglas lines from the last five years accept a PowerView retrofit; older third-party shades usually don't. We measure first before quoting the retrofit.

  • How do PowerView shades handle a power outage?

Battery wand backup. Lithium packs run 1–2 years between charges depending on usage, and the hub recovers your scenes and schedules automatically once power returns. After a storm, you don't have to reprogram anything.

  • Do you do storm shutters?

Coordinated, not directly. We integrate Hunter Douglas treatments with your impact-glass system and refer an approved shutter installer if you need one. The mounting and clearances are planned together so nothing fights for space.

  • What's the lead time on Alustra?

Typically 4–6 weeks from order to install. Custom fabrics or pattern selections can push to 8. We confirm the date with you before the order goes in so the install crew is staged.

  • Do you handle child-safety cord retrofits?

Yes, free of charge on any install we've done. Call the office and we'll send a tech out to convert any corded lift to cordless or motorized — current federal safety standards, no upcharge.

  • Can you program seasonal schedules?

Yes. The PowerView app + hub supports scenes, schedules, and Alexa or Google Home integration. We set up summer schedule (open later, close earlier for Gulf heat) and winter schedule before we leave, and you can adjust from your phone after.
