A rug that fits the room.
The rooms a standard rug never quite covers — great rooms, long hallways, stairs that turn. We cut yours from the carpet you love to your room's exact size, then finish the edge by hand at our bench.
A rug is mostly about the floor you leave.
The difference between a rug that anchors a room and one that floats in the middle of it is proportion — how much bare floor shows on every side. Here is what the three sizes most Naples rooms land on actually leave you.
A store sells you the nearest standard size and lets the room sort it out. We measure the floor first — and cut the rug to the proportion the room wants.

The edge is the part a store can't cut.
Once the size is right, the edge decides how the rug reads. We finish every custom rug at our own bench in one of three binds — chosen to match your trim, not the catalog's.
- CottonThe daily driver
Clean, traditional, durable — matches most trim. The right edge for the room you actually live in.
- SergedThe modern line
A tight overstitch that all but disappears at the edge. The most contemporary read of the three.
- LeatherLibrary · primary suite
Patinas beautifully and frames a formal room. Runs 30–60% over cotton — worth it where it shows.
The last layer you choose, the first one you feel.
A rug is the styled accent that lands over a finished floor — wool warming hardwood, softness over LVP, the layer that turns a room you walk across into one you settle into. We cut ours from three lines, each with a job to do.

- StantonCustom-bind wool
Cut from full broadloom to your exact room, bound by hand. The line for the rug a store can never quite sell you.
- NourisonReady-made wool-blend
Pre-bound, standard sizes, off the floor today. The forgiving line for the room that doesn't need a custom cut.
- FabricaPatterned anchor
Wool-blend pattern carried across a great room, aligned at every seam. The line that holds an open plan together.
Same broadloom we sell by the square foot — finished into a rug at our Naples bench.

A smaller patterned rug over a larger sisal or jute base, anchored under the seating, reads layered and intentional — two lines, padded and pinned so feet never catch.
Naples living roomwool, layered over woodWe cut from Stanton, Nourison, and Fabrica — the same broadloom we sell by the square foot, finished into a rug at our own Naples bench.
Twenty-six lines in the showroom on Trade Center Way. You touch the wool, lay a bind sample against your trim, and pick the one before a single board is cut.

Naples homes we have finished.
The details, for when you want them.
Which bind, which fiber, and what twenty-eight years in Naples taught us about a rug that lasts in Florida humidity. Skim what's useful — the showroom is the easy way to get the rest.
- Cotton bind — the daily driver: clean, traditional, durable, matches most trim.
- Leather bind — for libraries and primary bedrooms; patinas beautifully (30–60% more).
- Serged edge — the tightest, most modern look; almost rug-edge invisible.
- Felt-and-rubber pad sized to the rug minus 2 inches, so it never slides on hardwood.
We can sometimes re-bind a rug you already own — bring it in. If the broadloom is sound and the back hasn't delaminated, we re-bind or re-size at our bench.
We field-measure the room and, for furniture-anchoring rugs, chalk the legs first so the rug sits six inches inside each side. Broadloom is then cut to exact dimensions and the pattern aligned at every seam.
Bind sewn at our Naples bench; two-to-three week turn on most custom rugs. We deliver, place, and stage the pad — lifetime workmanship warranty on the bind, written and filed.
A Stanton custom-bind wool ages thirty years; the nylon performance lines absorb children, pets, and a power-wash.
When each one is the right call.
A retail rug is the right call when the room is forgiving and the timeline is today. A custom-bind rug is the right call for every other room — the exact size, your choice of bind, and broadloom that's actually built to last.
Humidity care for natural fibers.
Wool and sisal are the right answer here, but never directly on a damp slab. We spec a moisture-rated pad under every natural-fiber rug on a ground-floor install and leave you a short care guide for the rainy-season months.
Custom-bind for irregular condo rooms.
Naples great rooms are rarely rectangular — angled walls, curved bays, columns. Stanton and Fabrica broadloom cut-to-shape with a custom serged or wide-cotton bind solves the geometry without a seamed compromise.
Dye fastness under Florida light.
Solution-dyed yarns hold color where traditional dyes fade. For west-facing Gulf rooms we spec solution-dyed wool or nylon every time — the rug still reads true in year ten.
Every rug we cut is finished for Naples — the right fiber, the right bind, the exact room.
Salt air, slab moisture, west-facing Gulf light. Twenty-eight years of what works down here, cut and bound by our own bench with a lifetime workmanship warranty on the bind.

§ Common questions · Rugs
Honest answers.
How long does a custom-bind rug take?
Two to three weeks from order to delivery. Stanton broadloom comes in on a quick-ship program — the time goes into cutting, binding, and pattern-aligning at our Naples bench.
Can you bind a rug we already own?
Sometimes — bring it in. If the broadloom is sound and the back hasn't delaminated, we can re-bind or re-size at our bench. We won't take work that won't last.
Cotton, leather, or serged bind — which is right?
Cotton is the daily-driver — clean, traditional, durable. Leather is for libraries, primary bedrooms, formal rooms — patinas beautifully but costs 30–60% more. Serged is the tightest, most modern look — almost rug-edge invisible.
Will it slide on hardwood?
Not with the right pad. We include a felt-and-rubber pad sized to the rug minus 2". On RIVA Spain or other lacquered wood, the pad protects the finish.
Are these dog and kid-safe?
Wool is naturally stain-resistant and forgives more than nylon. For high-traffic rooms with pets, ask about Fabrica's solution-dyed wool blends or Nourison's performance lines — they take a power-wash.
Can you match my upholstery or drapery?
Yes. Bring in a fabric sample or photograph in the room's natural light. We pull broadloom and bind options that match — same showroom that does the rugs does the cabinets, so the room hangs together.
Bring us the room, and we'll cut it to fit.
Come in with a photo, an upholstery swatch, or a rough sketch. We'll pull three broadlooms and three binds in the showroom's afternoon light, then cut and finish yours at our Naples bench — two-to-three weeks to your floor.
